Decrease Your Kicks: The "Shoetorial"

What's good, sneakerheads? It's been quite a minute since we've "blogged." We've been busy (and a lil lazy), but we're back. We've received plenty of phone calls asking if we decrease kicks. Unfortunately we don't, but we thought we'd put together a 5 Step "Shoetorial" (yes, that's a shoe tutorial) for you all.

We know the struggle is real, peeps. You're rockin' your favorite pair of Jordan's and that first toe crease hits harder than a breakup text. We get it, but don’t toss your favorite kicks in the back of the closet just yet. We got the sneaker-saving tutorial you need to bring those babies back to life. Here’s how to decrease your sneakers in 5 simple steps.

1: Stuff Your Kicks

Let’s start by getting your sneakers back in shape... literally.

What you need:

  • A pair of socks (or two), a couple small towels or microfiber cloths

  • Your creased kicks

What to do:
Stuff the inside (front toe) of the sneaker until it’s firm, but don't overdo it. The idea is to push the toe box back to its original form and shape. Make sure it's smooth.

2: Bring The Heat

Now it's time to heat 'em up, friends.

What you need:

  • An iron and ironing board (or hard surface)

  • A damp washcloth, towel or microfiber cloth

What to do:
Dampen the cloth and lay it over the creased area.

Set the iron to medium heat and gently press over the towel in 5-10 second bursts. The steam will soften the material and the pressure will flatten the crease. but keep it movin’.  You don't wanna hold the iron in one spot too long or you may end up burning the leather (which we do not recommend).

3: The Cool Down

After the heat treatment, let your sneakers cool down.

Why, you ask?
Your kicks need a few hours to settle. This helps the material set back into place with the intent to give 'em that fresh-out-the-box look. Make sure you keep 'em stuffed.

4: Tender Lovin' Care

Now’s a good time to give your kicks some extra love. Wipe down the exterior, brush off any dirt, and hit up clean kicks for a Premium Sneaker Treatment.

This step isn't just for looks. clean kicks = less creasing in the long run.

5: Maintenance & Prevention

You don’t wanna be back here next week doing crease surgery again, right?

Get yourself some crease protectors and pop ‘em in your kicks when you rock 'em. They keep your toe box supported and your kicks lookin’ fresh for the long haul. Bonus points if you store your sneakers with shoe trees. It definitely helps.

Conclusion: Keep Your Heat Crease-Free

There you have it — five easy steps to decrease your Jordan's, Air Max's, and any other kicks in your rotation. Remember, creases might be part of the shoe game, but they don’t gotta stay permanent. Hit us up if you have any questions. We're always here to help.

Thanks for rockin' clean kicks, homies. 🔥
